The FARO Edge 9-Foot Arm with Laser Line Probe (LLP) combines traditional contact measurement with non-contact 3D laser scanning in a portable measurement system. With an approximately 9-foot measurement reach, the FARO Edge is well suited for dimensional inspection, reverse engineering and 3D scanning of medium-to-large components directly on the shop floor or at the customer’s facility. The articulated arm can be used with a contact probe for precise feature measurement or with the included Laser Line Probe to rapidly capture dense 3D point-cloud data across complex surfaces
